Site Can't Be Reached on Start up

When starting up Knime, and after selecting my knime workspace, I get this error. Has anyone run into this and know why this is happening?

Thank you @Jason_Kish for reporting this.

I have shared this internally for further investigation.

Hey @Jason_Kish,

Could you give us some more information on your setup? (KNIME version, anything special on your setup? Are you using some VPN or similar?). This would help us a lot.

Greetings,

Daniel

Hi. Yes, I’m on version 5.5.0. I’m on a company vpn amd running Windows 11. Prior to last week, I had no issues. This seemed to happen as soon as I updated the Modern UI component inside of Knime that was available for update. However Knime will now load in the old classic UI BUT when opening one of my workflows, I open up my Google Authenticator node for example, and I get that exact same error as I posted originally.

Hi @DanielBog and @armingrudd

Do either of you have any updates on this? I’m still unable to connect to the modern UI. Additionally, even in the “classic” UI, my google authenticators do not work displaying the same error.

Hi @Jason_Kish,

could you share the log with us? (<workspace>/.metadata/knime/knime.log)
And to double-check: could you also share the installed features? I.e. in classic UI - Help > About KNIME > Installation Details > Screenshot of the ‘Installed Software’ tab.

In order for you to have a working installation again, I’d suggest to download (and install/unzip) a new Analytics Platform of the desired version.

Thanks a lot,

Martin

knime.log (1.8 MB) Yes, here you go

Thanks, @Jason_Kish. It seems you have a proxy configured for your KNIME installation. Could you add -Djava.net.useSystemProxies=true to your knime.ini and try again? The proxy settings certainly should not have an impact there but maybe there is a bug …
