slow table row count

Hi,

I just realized that getRowCount (from BufferedDataTable) may take a while if the table is rather big. For 2.400.000 lines it took approximately 20 seconds. I was wondering whether it is worth to spend this time just to get a nice progress bar while executing the node...

I guess, there is no way to make it faster? (I also compared to the RowFilter node, which takes the same time to get the row count.

I think for this might be a good use case to use the Cache node before the node computing the row number. Usually the row count is not so slow though.

Cheers, gabor

It does not really improve using the Cache node. The node itself is much slower than 20 seconds...
