in preparation to attend the knime courses I should know how e x a c t l y I can get the java source code e.g. of the internal decision tree node.

If you use the KNIME SDK you can add a dependency to any KNIME plug-in in your own plug-in. After that you can browse the source code in the Package Explorer (e.g.). If the source code is not visible (usually for manually installed extensions) you may need to install the correspoding source feature from the update site.
