Why I cannot change this column to double?

Did you explicitly specify that the thousands separator is a space? Or did you just leave that field blank?

After 3 hours I figured it out 
It turns out that it is not a space between the thousands but ‘no-break space’. I used String Replacer to remove it. And now it works!!
