Types of database

What types of database can be used in Knime tools? Is the use of Access and SQL, for example.

I assume that all JDBC complaint databases could be used.

Yes that's correct. You need, however, to have the right JDBC driver at hand - usually just a single JAR file that you select in the Database Reader's dialog.
