unable to connect to the publicserver.knime.org

Hi, I am unable to connect to the publicserver.knime.org from my desktop installation, I get the error message

"ERROR RemoteRepositoryView Could not connect to KNIME Server on publicserver.knime.org with user 'guest', reason: Connection failed: Connection refused: connect"

I guess this may be a firewall issue - (our firewall blocks passive ftp for instance),  is there a workaround?

The firewall must allow connections to port 3700. Currently there is no workaround.

I am facing the same problem right now and am not able to connect to the server. The exact same error is being show:

ERROR RemoteRepositoryView Could not connect to KNIME Server on publicserver.knime.org:47037 with user 'guest', reason: connect timed out

Is there no way around it?

We zip the entire workflow repository every night and make it available as a zip:

Thanks for pointing this out.  Once dowloaded, how should I configure Knime to access these workflow exaples?
