Unable to install Text Processing plugin

Hi All,

I am facing some issue in installing the text processing plugin and need your help.

I am using KNIME 2.8.1 Desktop version.

I am trying to install the  " Text Processing" by using 

help->Install new software

URL -> KNIME Update Site - http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/

I selected KNIME Lab extensions and then KNIME Text Processing.

I am getting the below message.

What am i doing wrong?

You need to update to KNIME 2.8.2 first because the current textprocessing extension requires it.

Thanks for the reply.

But do you know how do i upgrade from 2.8.1 to 2.8.2?

The link http://www.knime.org/downloads/update does not work.

 

also cant i just add Text Processing on 2.8.1?

Update is done via File->Update KNIME... If you go to Help->Install New Software and select the KNIME Update Site (http://www.knime.org/update/2.8) then you can disable "Only show latest version" at the bottom of the dialog. You should then be able to select the older version of the testprocessing extension.

Disabling "Only show latest version" did the trick.

hi,

i have an issue to install the Text Processing plug-in for v 2.9;

using Help/Install local update sites.

the process is timing out.

how to solve this please?
