# Update Regex Node with latest URL matching pattern

Good morning Phillip,

while extensively working on URL extraction I happen to notice the pattern provided in the Regex Node in Selenium is outdated. Whilst still working for most occasions flawlessly, it didn’t for specific scenarios like emails. That was seemingly catered for with the versions: [Daring Fireball: An Improved Liberal, Accurate Regex Pattern for Matching URLs](https://daringfireball.net/2010/07/improved_regex_for_matching_urls)
