variable and value labels

Hi,

does anybody know if is it possible to attach variable labels and value labels to data in KNIME (apart from using R)- like can be done with spss/sas?

what are the variable labels and what are the value labels? The column names?

Hi Iris,

Variable labels are labels for columns, so as to better describe the meaning of the attribute.

Value labels are annotations for different values of the attributes. For the same reason.

For instance, variable label for 'satisqual' could be 'satisfaction with the quality of the product' with variable labels 1='very dissatisfied', 2='dissatisfied', 3='neutral', 4='satisfied', 5='very satisfied'. That allows for metric computation/analysis, plus meaningful reporting,
