Why no image saving option with Geospatial View

I am simply trying to programatically save map images from Geospatial View and am very surprised there is no such option. Could this be added?

What ever happend to the layer based Geospatial Node? Is that what we currently have? I really like the suggestions @Awiener made.

Damn, you’re right. Doesn’t seem to be any way to do it. Frustratingly, there is the Spatial View Static which is 75% of the way there but doesn’t print onto a map layer.

I agree that is quite an oversight not to have a way to output the map view easily. I recommend making a suggestion at Latest Feedback & Ideas topics - KNIME Community Forum.

For now you might have to use Geopandas in the python node. All these nodes are wrappers for it anyway. Sadly we are always pushing at the edges of things in the Knime community. There’s always some feature which is just out of reach.
