Workflow Executor has no input/output ports

Workflow Executor Node dont show dynamic ports in KNIME 4.5.1

Hi When updating KNIME to 4.5.1 I noticed that the Workflow Executor node, which is part of the “Integrated Deployment” nodes, does not have the 3 points to insert a new dynamic port, for example data. Was there any usage update or could it be a bug in my installation? It is interesting that when I download a knime hub workflow with some usage example, the node has a dynamic port, however when I select the same node from my Node repository I cannot include it [image]

I may be stupid, but the previous topic has no clear answer to the simple question of how to add ports to this node. As with the previous poster, I’ve found workflows in the Hub that have input/output ports for this node. I’m confused.

Hi,
I could not find an internal ticket for this change, but generally I do not see why the Workflow Executor would need dynamic ports. All ports you could use can be inferred from the workflow you point it to, so a click on the “Auto-adjust ports” in the configuration should give you all you need. Why would you like to add additional ports?

Got it. Frankly the node description could be a lot clearer. Like “run upstream model node, then click on auto-adjust ports.” Frankly it would be much easier to have the ports in the node so the user doesn’t have to intervene during running the workflow.
