In terms of the file location, I don’t know why the setting would have changed, but are you not able to set it back to say “Relative to Workflow data area”? I would expect this to be working ok with the latest KNIME versions as I know it is widely used. I don’t have access to a KNIME server though, so maybe this is something I’m not aware of.
On the second point about the “write” failing even if you set it to “overwrite”, sorry I missed that bit in your original post. Yes this is a known issue, and the author is in the process of providing a fix.
