.xlsx writer or sheet appender -images not visible in Excel

Images are not visible in excel, when file is created with newer than 3.7.2 Knime. I’ve tried all combinations of Excel 2013, 2016 and Office 365 and Knime versions 4.1.2 and 4.0.2. I have replaced the depricated nodes with new ones.
Excel displays empty space instead of the image and text “The picture can’t be displayed”. If I run some VBA with the (Knime-created) file, the error changes to " The image part with relationship rID8 was not found" for which a manual fix is explained in: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/word/image-part-relationship-rld8-not-found-error-microsoft-word
I did not manage to fix my test file with that recipe but obviously there’s something in common with the issues.

What is the type of image are you writing to Excel file? Can you share example workflow?
