twitter API

Hello everyone,

I keep receive this message while trying again and again to use twitter API connector and Twitter post tweet.

I have check API key, API secret, Access token and Access token secret

I have also check the permissions and even sycronised my PC clock (Ubuntu/Mint)

The funny thing is the API connector nod looks good to me (green color) and only when launching the second nod (Twitter post tweet) I get the error message.

Do you have some idea what's going on ?

Thank you and best regards

Eric

ERROR Twitter Post Tweet   2:8        Execute failed: 401:Authentication credentials (https://dev.twitter.com/pages/auth) were missing or incorrect. Ensure that you have set valid consumer key/secret, access token/secret, and the system clock is in sync.
message - Could not authenticate you.

Hi eric@net2000.ch,

I got the same error message the first time I tried to execute the second node, i.e. Twitter Post Tweet node, Twitter User node, etc. Could you please try to to re-configure the Twitter API Connecor node and execute it again? You should fill in the API key, API secret, Access token and the Access token secret.

If the error persists, could you please check the Log File (View --> Open KNIME Log)? What is the message?

Thank you,

Cheers,

Vincenzo

Hi,

I'm getting the same issue today.

Fresh install of KNIME 3.3.1 (all packages) on a laptop.

  • Downloaded the twitter example process flow from https://www.knime.org/blog/knime-twitter-nodes,
  • added my API & Access info
  • ran the Connector node (Green)
  • ran the search node (error)

Console message is

ERROR Twitter Search       2:2        Execute failed: 401:Authentication credentials (https://dev.twitter.com/pages/auth) were missing or incorrect. Ensure that you have set valid consumer key/secret, access token/secret, and the system clock is in sync.
message - Could not authenticate you.
code - 32

I've copied the bit out of the log I think is relevant and attached it.

The twitter account exists, and the details on the app.twitter.com page look fine - am I missing something really obvious? Is there a new preferences setting I've not set (or an old one I've forgotten?)

Cheers,

Andrew

Solved, though no idea why!

Hi, I get a similar error though my twitter consumer key and access token have been regenerated several times… Help needed!

ERROR Twitter Search 0:2 Execute failed: 401:Authentication credentials (https://dev.twitter.com/pages/auth) were missing or incorrect. Ensure that you have set valid consumer key/secret, access token/secret, and the system clock is in sync.
message - Invalid or expired token.

Please take a look at the answer in this post.
