Accessing the Examples Server on Modern UI

Hello all,
I just wanted to check if anyone can access the KNIME Hub Examples mountpoint in Modern UI. The URL is as shared below -

knime/Examples

I can see the examples hub in the Classic UI but, I am unable to see it in the Modern UI and it has also been included in the KNIME Explorer under Preferences settings.

Any help is highly appreciated.

yes I can see the examples in MUI. This screenshot from KNIME 5.4 on Windows 10:

Actually in my 5.4 install (pictured), the Examples are on my local area of the Space Explorer in MUI, not on a hub mountpoint.

In my 5.2 installation you are right that I don’t see the Examples in MUI, although if I switch to classic UI I do see them.

In MUI, if you go to “Home”, do you see a few examples under “Welcome”.

If you open one of those, does it open in your local space, and then do you see the examples in Local space. That’s what it appears to be doing on mine.

I do have access to these examples. I was referring to the mountpoint Examples Hub that houses KNIME components and other details that were very helpful and still visible on Classic UI.

Hi @nilotpalc , sorry for the confusion. Yes I realised as I was writing the above that what I was seeing in modern UI was only a local version rather than the hub mountpoint, so was trying to establish if you could see examples at all, as I don’t recall how or why the examples appear locally in my 5.4 installation. (I’ve not checked if they automatically appear)

So to answer your original question properly… no I also cannot see the examples mountpoint in Modern UI.

I found the following post related to MUI which mentions the examples not being available (v5.1 at the time of the post):

Regarding the KNIME Community Hub spaces in Space/KNIME Explorer, you can view your spaces and the spaces to which you have read and write access permission. e.g. when a space owner gives you access to their public space. Currently, the drag and drop form Hub to Modern UI is not possible but I added your feedback to our list. For now, you can first download and then import workflow groups/components (.knar) in Modern UI. Yes, we have it in our list and I added your feedback as well.

From what I can see though, access to the examples from the hub is still currently via the browser, mentioned in this post:

Hi @VAGR_ISK - As you’ve noticed, the mountpoint for the Example server isn’t present in the new UI. Eventually, as searching for workflows on the KNIME Community Hub becomes more integrated into the AP client, those workflows should be easier to find. In the meantime, you can always find them in your browser on the Hub:
