We had a working connection to Athena on KNIME AP 4.7.2 and the same workflow did not work on KNIME AP 5.2.2. After researching the forum we added the JDBC driver 42-2.2.2.1001 to the KNIME AP 5.2.2.
In 4.7.2 we can use the Default Credential Provider Chain setting. Run AWSAuth before running the workflow and it just runs.
In 5.2.2 the Default Credential Provider Chain setting does not work and after running the AWSAuth and you must cut and paste in the Access Key ID, Secred Key and the Session Token into then authenticator node to get the connection to work. The error message would indicate that KNIME 5.2.2 could not find the path to the credentials file so the cut and paste is needed.
Is there a setting to get the 5.2.2 version to recognize the credentials file path?
