Any update on node execution timeout / auto-cancel hung node? (ref: AP-16531)

Hi all,

I’m revisiting an older thread about stopping a hung node after a specific time (from 2021, this is the link). At the time it sounded like a feature request/ticket was filed to support a “timeout” that would fail/cancel a node automatically after N seconds.

Is there any update on this in recent KNIME Analytics Platform versions?

  • Has a per-node timeout / automatic cancel been implemented?

  • If not, is there an officially recommended pattern beyond OS-level timeouts for external tools?

This feature would be extremely valuable for robust unattended executions.

For reference, the ticket was: AP-16531.

Thanks in advance!
Cheers,

Gio
