Application Password|ID Only with Business Hub? Not Available for Team Plan?

Hi,

I am currently testing the KNIME Team plan.

Since I perform some calculations locally and run certain workflows in batch mode, I need to access the KNIME Hub via the KNIME HUB Authenticator. For this, I require an Application Password ID and an Application Password.

Unfortunately, I am unable to set up these two items as described in the documentation, because I simply dont have that option… What am I missing?

Hi Henri,

You are right, application passwords are not available on the Team plan yet.
What would you like to do on Community Hub through the local workflows? Maybe I can give you a way to do what you are looking for.

Hi Gergely,

The local workflows run in batch mode overnight, performing time series analysis and sales aggregation on e-commerce data. This calculation takes about 2 hours. I could do it in the hub, but this calculation would eat all the credits for breakfast. :stuck_out_tongue: :money_with_wings:

The resulting “interim data” should then be uploaded to the community hub so the data app can use it for further calculations based on user parameters.

I can implement a workaround using something like SharePoint…

But since you live and breathe inside the KNIME universe, you probably have a better suggestion for directly exchanging data between the local environment and the hub. :smiley:

Good news: We will enable application passwords for team users soon on Community Hub.
