Automation of Knime model

Hi,

we are looking to automate the running of a model. We understand we need a Knime Server Lite license to do this but there does not seem to be any documentation on how to automate the running of a model and the injection of parameters. Also, if a model is non-linear in nature, can we choose which steps are to be run? Is this process described anywhere?

We would like to know it is possible before we purchase a license.
