BUG: Configuring Excel Reader node changes saved tab selection

KNIME Desktop v4.4.4

I have an Excel Reader node configured to use “Select sheet with name” and this process works fine. However, when I open the configuration of that node to make a change, the node often resets the tab selection to “Select first sheet with data”, and if I don’t catch this change, my workflow will (obviously) break.

I exclusively use SharePoint Filesystem for my Excel Reader nodes, so I’m not sure if this is related.

@AndrewDevlin I think it could be related. There is a ticket for this AP-18133.

What you could do is force the selection with a flow variable like in this example:
