Can't install extensions for KNIME 2.8.2

I'm trying to install the extensions for KNIME 2.8.2, but the extensions that show up from the 2.8.2 udpate site (http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/)appear to be the 2.9.0 extensions. When I try to install, I get these errors:

If you don't want to upgrade to 2.9, then use http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/fixed as update site URL.

Thanks for the answer, but I cannot add this site. Every time I try to add it, or edit the existing one, it always says "Duplicate location" and will not let me add it. I briefly saw it show up on its own at one time (Maybe after I did a File->Install KNIME Extensions...) but it seems to have gone away.

This happens on both Linux and MacOSX

If you click on "Available Software Sites", is there already software site with  http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/fixed entered but not activated?

One thing you could try is to remove the old update-site, restart KNIME and add the new update-site again.

There is currently nothing showing that says, "http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/fixed", only "http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/". I have tried everything - editing the current one, adding one, deleting the existing one. It is like the fixed one actually exists, but I can't see it and I can't select it. This is all from a freshly unpacked copy of 2.8.2.

Try deleting *all* entries from the Available Software Sites, apply the changed settings, and then add the "fixed" address.

YES, It works!

This is what I did:

- fresh install

- went straight to the Install/Update Preferences and deleted the two sites that were listed

- hit Apply

- quit the app

- restarted

- went back to Preferences and added http://www.knime.org/update/2.8/fixed

- hit apply, closed the Preferences panel

- went to Help->Install New Software, chose the site, and updated
