Can't see the visualization after the update to 5.3.

The update to 5.3. promised me that I would be able to see the visualizations directly in the node monitor. But unfortunately I can no longer see any visualizations at all. Neither in the node monitor nor in the visualization view in the extra window. This affects all blue visualization nodes.

The Chromium Embedded Framework is selected in the javaScropt Views under Preferences. Even with the other options it did not work either.

What can I do?

Are you using classic UI by any chance?

Views: Configuration Dialog and Interactive views empty in 5.3

Thank you very much for reporting the issue so quickly! It affects all node views and those node dialogs that have a node view preview; but ‘only’ in case the Analytics Platform has been directly started with the Classic UI (it remembers the UI it has been shutdown with). We will publish a fix as soon as possible. Till then you either use the Modern UI (it is not an issue there) or switch to the Modern UI and back again to make it work in the Classic UI, too.

Thank you very much @ArjenEX! I didn’t discover this post before. Now I know I’m not the only one with this problem and how to deal with it for now.

How could I undo the update and use version 5.2. again?

Yeah it has been mentioned quite a few times now but always worded slightly different so it’s harder to spot

Regarding 5.2, go to the download page of KNIME, scroll all the way down until you find this:

Answer the mandatory question and pick a version of your choice. I would recommend the ZIP version if you’re on Windows. Note that you can have multiple KNIME versions running in parallel. Just be careful with your workspace and preferably keep them separate to avoid any potential conflict since you’re downgrading.
