Can't set X- headers in REST nodes

I need to access a RESTful web service that uses the non-standard X-User and X-Password Headers to pass credentials.

The REST and other HTTP accessing nodes seem to allow the setting of some (mostly standard) headers, but I don't see a way of being able to set additional headers on the request.

Have I missed something or is there no way to set these headers?

Similar story - see another post here

Getting stuck with inability to define custom HTTP headers for REST nodes. While most popular headers can easily be defined, less popular standard and custom headers are nowhere to define. At least I did not find the place.

KREST gurus (aborg and others) - your advise is greatly appreciated.

I am running into the exact same issue. I need to set the AUTHORIZATION parameter in the header, but cant find anyway of doing this, other than the customer JAVA snippet above.

It's been a few months since the last post, any update or changes that you have seen in the nodes that I am missing.
