Certificate issues with ZScaler

My company has recently switched to using ZScaler to provide internet security but this seems to cause issues when accessing websites through Knime. I can use the REST nodes to get to access to sites if I select to trust all SSL certificates but this is not an option for file access / download nodes. Is their either a way to allow these nodes to trust all certificates, download files (eg csv or zip) using a GET node and then save the file in someway or to install the ZScaler certificate to knime somewhere so that it can be trusted? For Firefox to work with ZScaler I needed to install the cert so I do have this but I have no idea of how to do this and couldn’t find and help in the documentation.

Hello @EwarWright,

welcome to KNIME Community!

Seems to me you need to import ZScaler SSL certificate to KNIME. KNIME is based on Eclipse so see here for more:

Additionally maybe ZScaler provides some instructions/support on how to add their’s certificate to Eclipse and/or similar applications.

I must confess to not getting a chance to properly investigate the approach described above. The change to the new file handling framework does, however, allow trusting all certificates for the nodes that allow file connection ports so the workflows can access the sites (properly vetted of course) without needing to add in the certificate.

Hello @EwarWright,

no problem  Glad to hear that with new version there are no issues. Tnx for coming back.
