Change URL address in KNIME HUB

Hi everyone,

I installed my KNIME Hub using the default URLs hub.example.com. Now I have a DNS for these URLs and I’m trying to change them, but I can’t seem to complete the process. Every time I try, it just initiates the deployment without any further context in the logs. Is there something specific I should consider for this process?"

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! Are you changing the URLs in the config window of the KOTS admin page? It should be the IP of the system you have Hub installed on with the port: 8800.

From there, you’ll want to go to the “config” page that’s shown near the top of the screen.

Once you reach there, you should see a subsection called “URL”. Here, you can insert the DNS host names you’ve made for the Hub. You should be able to put the main hostname and all the other subdomains will update to match.

Once that’s done, you can scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and hit the blue button “Save Config”

Now, go to the “Version History” page. From here, you can find the new deployment which should have the changed URL. Hit the blue button “Deploy” and wait for the deployment to succeed.

Once it’s successful, you should be able to access the Hub from your new URL. I hope this helps!
