Clarifying Prep for L3 Examination

On the Certification Program page, it is stated that:
Recommended Preparation Course: L3-DA, L3-DE, & L3-CD

Two questions:

• I see L3-CD and L3-PC as being available as a self-paced course (‘SPC’), however, not L3-DA or L3-DE.
• I see L3-PC being noted as the sole prep for the L3 exam on this KNIME article from Oct-2022, but not L3-CD, L3-DA, or L3-DE.
• Is L3-CD sufficient prep for the L3 examination, or are L3-DA and L3-DE required as well? If required, any pointers to how we can prep in lieu of SPC?

Short answer: Yes. All three of these courses contain the overlapping sections tested in the L3 exam as listed on the certification webpage:

• General KNIME Business Hub principles and features
• Workflow invocation
• Integrated deployment
• Testing
• Workflow execution and deployment
• Versioning
• Performance optimization and orchestration

To prep: Go through the L3-CD course and focus on the topics listed above.

Re article: We published a new blogpost on the L3 new courses and certification dated Sept-23. You can also get an overview on how to prepare for the exam in the blogpost.

Finally, the L3-DA and L3-DE versions of the self-paced courses are in production. Watch out for them early next year.
