If you’re looking for more ‘plug-and-play’ data, I’d also check out the Copernicus Climate Data Store (CDS) or the World Bank’s Climate Data Portal. They have excellent APIs that play really nicely with KNIME’s ‘GET Request’ nodes. Also, Kaggle has a few cleaned-up versions of the Berkeley Earth temperatures if you want to skip the heavy pre-processing and get straight to the workflows!
