Column type recognition/edit?

Hi,
how does excel reader determine what type is each column ( S,I,D, …)?

and how can this be edited? Can someone please help.

You can edit the column types on the Transformation tab of this configuration window.

Or you can do it after the fact with a Table Manipulator node, or a Column Auto Type Cast node.
