Hi

I have a workflow, where I noticed, that I can, actually should, place functionality into a component. However, I want to feed in a specific variable. Without component, all works fine. Unfortunately, not so when I place the functionality into the component. KNIME responds with the error message in the topic. I cannot make sense of it and would appreciate enlightenment. I placed a test case on my public hub.

You need to explicitly tell the component which flow variables to inherit. Double click on the Component Input node to move the flow variable across. It’s excluded by default which is hella annoying.
