Conda Environment propagation node fails sometimes in server

Hi Team,

The Conda Environment Propagation node deployed in server sometimes fails with below error:

ERROR Conda Environment Propagation 1707:642: Execute failed: Conda environment ‘py3_knime_clone’ does not exist anymore.
Please ensure that KNIME has exclusive control over Conda environment creation and deletion.

As mentioned the workflow sometimes works with no errors and sometimes we get above error. Also, after getting this error if I open the job that still open in server and execute again, it works with no errors.

Could you please help me to find the root cause of this error?

BR,
Marc

Hello,

Thank you for contacting KNIME regarding this issue. My understanding of the issue is that your workflow, using Python Scripting nodes, occasionally fails with the error:

ERROR Conda Environment Propagation 1707:642: Execute failed: Conda environment ‘py3_knime_clone’ does not exist anymore.
Please ensure that KNIME has exclusive control over Conda environment creation and deletion.
  • What operating system is your KNIME server software running on?
  • What version of KNIME Server (KS)/KNIME Executor (KE) are being used?
  • What operating system is your KNIME client software running on?
  • What version of KNIME Analytics Platform (AP) is being used?

As configuration files and log files may be required to troubleshoot this issue, you may wish to reach out to KNIME Support (support@knime.com) directly rather than resolving on a public forum.

Regards,
Nickolaus

Hi Nickolaus,

We are running KNIME server 4.15.3 & KNIME AP 4.6.4

but anyway, I will still investigate from our end if this is related to performance issue that causes maybe the node to fail as and I will also contact support Team for help here.

Thank you!

Marc
