Connection to SAP S/4HANA or SAP BW

Hi!

I try to learn what is the best option to connect to SAP systems. Focusing on SAP S/4HANA or SAP BW.

I got to learn that there is three ways to connect to SAP:

• Connect using SAP JDBC Driver
• Using the SAP Reader (Theobald Software) node that connects to Xtract Universal to extract the data from SAP
• Using the DVW KNIME Connector to SAP

Do you know which solution is the best? Do you have experience with either one? (Any experience would be appreciated). If you have suggestion what to use, please share! Thank You in advance!

This issue is also big challenge for me.
I always search how to do it.
As you gave 3 ways, 2 of them needs licence. You need to pay cost for them.
Those options enable very easy to extract data .DVW solution brings many alternatives and may access SAP tools. If you have budget, you may proceed with DVW.

For the first one SAP driver, I do not have experience.If someone has information, I will also be very glad to hear.
