convert this to a date type column

Hi, does anyone know what numerical language this block of digits are? I only identify with binaries and these are definitely not it.

And how do I convert it to a date type column? Thanks!

Hi @badger101

You don’t have any reference documentation from your use case about what this is? Most likely it’s a Unix timestamp which you can easily convert using the associated node.

Hi @badger101 , long time no see! :slightly_smiling_face:

I agree with @ArjenEX and you may be interested in the following site https://www.unixtimestamp.com/ which shows what the current Unix timestamp is.

Thanks @ArjenEX for the solution!

Thanks @takbb for the link; it also provides the two-way conversion which is helpful so I bookmarked it on my browser. And yes it’s been a while since I used Knime, I am revisiting a project that I had to pause from doing (almost 2 years now) - life happens  I’m starting from scratch again in terms of knowledge, just need time to remember my way around! Can you believe that I dont even remember the node to use to create a column, which I just found out to be the Table Creator Node - rofl  Anyways, glad to see some familiar faces still around!

Oh nice! I did not know there was a node doing this conversion for you, it must be a new node. I remember a few years ago I created a component for this type of conversion

Another familiar name, hi @bruno29a !

Yeah I havent heard of that node either, and I guess there must be so many other new things I am yet to discover. I am still using 4.7.2.

Talking about new stuff, the last time I was here there was a discussion of a new Table View layout+function, not sure how it is now.

Also, previously if I were to ask for an AI help with my python in Knime (since I dont code), I had ChatGPT. It was super helpful although there were many difficulties to finally get the result I wanted with that project.

I wonder if people here use Gemini for Knime help? I havent got much time to explore with coding help using Gemini, only simple introductory questions like this:

Wish there’s a special room like an Off-Topic here on the forum :joy:

@badger101 @bruno29a nice to see this sort of re-union  Great to hear from you.

About knime and Phyton. ChatGPT is able and willing to write code including knime specific requirements.

About code itself Claude.ai also is doing a very decent job sometimes maybe even better with Phyton but seems not to be too familiar with the KNIME integration. You might have to specifically mention it.

Crikey… this thread feels like a high school reunion :joy:. Nice to see you again too @bruno29a

And yes @badger101 , it would be good to have some kind of area here for “water cooler” chats.

Alrighty I will keep Claude.ai in mind! Thanks @mlauber71 , also glad to see you still around helping as usual!

@takbb We might need a petition for an Off-Topic room to send to @ScottF for consideration

Hey @badger101 @mlauber71 @takbb , glad to be back.

About a year ago, I bought a new computer, and since my usage of Knime had decreased enormously at that time (the new company I work for, and specifically my team, do not use Knime), I had not bothered logging into the forum. I would still check it out, but not logged in.

Recently, I got 2 more teams that moved under me, and I introduced Knime to one of them to help them in some manual data manipulation they were doing. This opened a whole new world to them and are going to be using Knime in a lot of other tasks that they have.

As a result, I have been doing regular training sessions with them so they can get more familiar with Knime, and a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to do a demo from my Knime hub - I prepared the Friday before, and I was able to logged into my hub, but them on Monday for the demo, it looked like my password was changed (looked like it was done on the Knime side - may be as a protection that suddenly “someone” was accessing my account). I ended up doing a reset password, and here I am now
