Desktop Users Licenses are blocked

Hi,

we want to use the Knime Server from a new Computer with a new username. Currently it looks like the following:

Users

Desktop

  • limit: 5
  • current: 5
  • active Users
      • name: user01
      • last login:
      • name: user02
      • last login:
      • name: user03
      • last login:
      • name: user04
      • last login:

So we got the error message that 5 of 5 licenses are currently in use. My question is: how to delete these active sessions of user01 to user04 which are not existing in the system anymore?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

Hi Marc,

when have you deleted the last user account and how many users accounts did you had originally? Have you tried restarting the server?

The server usually takes a week until it "forgets" the user accounts once they have been deleted.

Kind regards, Kilian

Hi Kilian,

I deleted the last user on friday and restarted the server. The last logins except of one were all on the 30th of january.

Currently we have only two registered users via ldap and no users in the h2 database.

Kind regards,

Marc

UPDATE (20.02.2017 - 09:04):

We fixed the problem by deleting the trash folder in the knime repository. There were old files from the deleted users.

Hi Marc,

after deletion of the accounts, the server blocks these accounts slots for some time. You need to wait until the server frees these slots and new accounts can be created / used. This is to avoid the user accounts can be quickly changed back and forth.

Cheers, Kilian

Hi Kilian,

We are using LDAP and want to switch a user (UserAbc) who is showing up as active user with someone else (UserXyz). UserAbc has not logged in for over a week, but is still showing up as active.
