Can someone confirm - or better yet, point me to a tutorial - that it is not currently possible to display shapefiles (filled polygons) on open street maps. I have not been able to find help on this forum. Thanks very much.
Hi Robert,
you need the shape files extension for this task (https://tech.knime.org/shapefile-extension)
They also have two Example Workflows available.
Best, Iris
Thank you Iris. I actually looked at the two examples. I believe one was for lines and not for filled polygons. The second works fine with the supplied shapefile... but not with the shapefile I need to use (which does work with the Qgis application).
I experimented with the shape file extension and filled polygons. And for me it worked better than choropleth. But I think this strongly depends on the way you represent the shape files.
We have an Choropleth example here in our blog: https://www.knime.org/blog/choropleth-with-r-and-knime
Thanks again Iris. I'm offsite until tomorrow. I'll look at your example (and revisit the earlier example if needed) then and report back. Have a nice day.
Lisa-your posts inspired me! Sure enough, I retried the node I mentioned earlier and it worked. Thank you very much for your time.
