Admittedly a small issue. I sometimes have large annotation fields to cover the whole length of a workflow. Like in the old days … when I actually edit the text the functions would be in the center of the annotation field and be out of reach while the text will just be on the left side (in this case).
Maybe this could be adapted so that the functions could stay close to the text …

Is your screenshot from 5.3 ? As I seem to have lost the ability to edit annotations with the pop up menu you are showing (which I really liked in 5.2)
Can somebody else confirm this or is it just me doing something wrong ? 
Edit: It came back briefly, then gone again. Playing about with it - if I move the entire annotation elsewhere I get the pop-up bar again…it seriously doesn’t like where it is on the workflow. Hopefully it will settle down.
