I am trying to edit data from various sources like excel files, but in a form like interface. The tile view is perfect for this, provided it does exactly what it says, “view” not edit. Is there any way to edit data from this view? In such a case, making forms to edit data in an ad-hoc manner becomes a breeze if it is put it in a component! Even other nodes or workarounds are welcome!

The table editor is to be able to edit multiple records at a time, I need the same with a vertical or custom layout instead of a tabular form, somewhat similar to a tile view. If it was a tile editor instead of tile view, problem was sorted then and there. I understand the horizontal table like layout might look not much different, but it is in certain instances. But thank you anyway for your prompt response!
Still would appreciate any other solution!!!
