240701 Knime 5-3 Issue 80701 Email Reader Network Thoguhput DURING Fetch - threaddump-1719839933760.tdump.txt (84.0 KB)
Hey @mwiegand,
Thanks for the pictures detailing the concern:
A ticket was created under QA-658
Thanks,
TL
Thanks both. We looked at the thread dump (useful!) and it’s indeed fetching data/emails but the progress bar reports nonsense. From the ticket description:
Moving this ticket from QA to AP. The problem is bad progress reporting. The user configures to read 100 emails from an inbox with 5000+ emails. The progress was calculated based on the total number of emails (5000) instead of the number of emails to be retrieved (100): The progress then started at (5000-100)/5000 = 98%, which is confusing.
The 5.3.0 release train has already departed so this will probably end up in 5.3.1 and 5.4.0.
Thanks for the report!
Let’s gooo, next stop … release station! Yeah, stupid but it’s only 7 AM xD
