Enhancing Data App usability: support for tabbed layouts to improve navigation and organization

Dear KNIME Team and Community,

I really love how easily KNIME components are transformed into interactive Data Apps with the KNIME Pro account or the KNIME Business Hub. The way the different elements (table, plots, filters, etc.) can be arranged on the Data App page is at the same time extremely easy and powerful. However, there is a new feature that, in my opinion, would bring Data Apps to the next level.

Sometimes, when I have several datasets or plots that I want to show on the same Data App page, I need to scroll down extensively, which makes the experience clunky and less intuitive to navigate. It would be fantastic if elements could also be organized within the Data App page using different tabs. This would allow some data or plots to be displayed in one tab of the page and others in separate tabs, eliminating the need for excessive scrolling or splitting content across multiple separate pages.

In my opinion, these tabs should be linked to elements defined by the users in the Composite View Layout, allowing full control over which content appears under each tab.

Implementing tabbed layouts would greatly improve user experience by making Data Apps cleaner, more structured, and easier to interact with, especially when dealing with multiple outputs or related visualizations.

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and for continuously delivering such an outstanding platform!

Best,
Gio
