I can no longer connect hive using knime. Previously the connection was ok. My current knime version 5.3. My current java version version 8 update 421.

the error message “GSS initiate failed” indicates that you use Kerberos based authentication. Please check your authentication settings and make sure that they are correct. For further details regarding Kerberos based authentication have a look at the Kerberos user guide. If the problem persists enable Kerberos debug logging as described here which should show more detailed information about the problem.
