Error installing Knime python integration for Knime 5.3.2

Hi,
Windows version
I am trying to build a Knime installation that I can use to share with my colleagues at work as we are not allowed to access applications via the internet. We use Alteryx but I am trying to educate them towards other options.

The only remaining issue seems to be the installation of the new Python Integration in 5.3.2. I get the error:
An error occurred while installing the items
session context was:(profile=KNIMEProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Install, operand=null → [R]org.knime.pythonscripting.channel.v1.bin.win32.x86_64 5.3.0.v202401241043, action=org.knime.product.p2.actions.ShellExec).
ShellExec command exited non-zero exit value:

I have been through the posts (ie Error installing Knime python integration for Knime 5.2.3 - #8 by steffen_KNIME ) and can confirm It is not Long Path issue (I have checked through that one multiple times)
I am not behind a Proxy and have Windows Defender off while trying to install.
I have tried deleting the indicated folder
I am on the 3rd attempt at installation of Knime 5.3.2

Any further suggestions would be welcome

Hi @mgirdwood,

sorry to hear you’re running into issues when configuring a KNIME installation for your colleagues. But great to hear that you are trying to educate them to use KNIME!

Thanks for trying all these options already.

When you see the error during installation of the Python integration, do you see the create_env.out and create_env.err files as described here? Maybe they contain more information as to what could be going wrong. Please share those if possible.

Best,
Carsten

Hi Carsten
Apologies for delay.

When I look into the folder - D:\Knime 5.3\knime_5.3.2.win32.win32.x86_64\knime_5.3.2\plugins\org.knime.pythonscripting.channel.v1.bin.win32.x86_64_5.3.0.v202401241043 as described I see no Bin folder,

I also have a 5.3.1 Knime version which has the same error, however when i look into that area of Plugins I do see a Bin folder. Not sure why there is a difference. These files are below

create_env.err (11.9 KB)
create_env.out (67.3 KB)

Hi,
To add to the " query".
As mentioned I have downloaded the KNIME Analytics Platform for Windows (zip archive) a few times and have the extension error for Python, However this morning i tried with the Archive zip and this time when adding the Python extension I have had no problem.

I retested the other Knime I have but still the error…

I will try to copy this new Knime folder across to my standard drive area and see if this throws any errors.

So I am not sure why the Archive zip should accept the extension but thought I would add the info here.
