error when starting Knime

Hi folks,

I get this error when I try to run Knime

SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.

 

I downloaded the requested tar file from the link and liked one of the jar files in the classpath but it still doesn't work.

what is really strange is that Knime was working fine until this morning when it had become very slow and unresponsive.

 

has anyone encoutered anything like this? any suggestion?

 

any help will be greatly appreciated

You can ignore this message. It doesn't affect KNIME at all.

thanks for you input but, in my case, knime doesn't start after that error.

I see the splashscreen and I can see the process using the CPU but after few seconds, the error pops up in the terminal and the process stops using any CPU. I left it run for more than an hour but nothing happened.

 

any suggestion?

Did you solve this issue? I'm getting the same error message and haven't been able to find out how to fix it.

which error do you mean? If it's just the warning about

SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.

You can simply ignore that. This doesn't affect KNIME at all.
