I have built an ETL process where somebody sends me an Excel template, and my workflow applies logic and transforms the data into something that can be uploaded to a system.
The start of my workflow is an Excel Reader node. I built the proof of concept and got everything working, but I’m running into issues when it’s time to replace the file with a new file template. I can see all of the appropriate columns/values in the ‘File Content’ tab, but no matter what settings I change, the node just feels like dropping random columns from the ‘Preview’ tab. I tried running the node, and sure enough, none of the dropped columns come through.
I messed with all obvious settings in the Excel Reader node, and nothing seems to work. I feel like an idiot - there must be something I’m missing. Any advice?
