Feature selection/elimination methods

Hi all,

This is my first post but I've been using Knime already for a while.

I'm struggling with Feature Selection/Elimination methods, there is the backwards feature elimination but this one is extremely time consuming when you have more than +/- 20 variables.

Are there other methods available in extensions? Or am I just looking over something? Things like stepwise forward feature selection and such?

Currently we only have backwards feature elimination.

I havent checked,but the rapidminer plugin may have more such feature selection methods?

Ok I'll have a look at the Rapidminer extension and also maybe R extension. Never used it before but I'll let you know the result.
