Hello.
Can I set the ‘File’ and ‘Files in folder’ modes as flow variables in Reader nodes such as CSV Reader, Excel Reader, etc.?
Even if I look for it in the Flow Variables tab, I’m not sure about the Flow Variable settings for that option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes I think that is possible.
I’m on 5.25 now, but think it is this setting:
To find out which value to pass I recommend to use the text box right next to it to output the selection value as a flow variable (in my example “xx”).
This way you can see what the value is for the setting you have chosen:
Here is the example for when File is selected:
