Further improvements for Column Expressions node - feature request

Thanks for the recent improvements to the Column Expressions node (real swiss army knife).
I understood there was also a feature proposal created 2 years ago in Why is a wildcard "*" not working in Column Expressions node? - Is this in general possible
and logged as AP-13383 (reuse previously created columns within the node to avoid creating chains of Col Exp nodes).
What is the status?

Thanks for the request and for including a reference!

Kindly note that it is really not yet done, but it’s planned as part of a larger rework of expression nodes.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide an ETA yet.
