handling non numeric data types in knime

I used to use octave where  i mapped non numeric data type to some binary value. 

do i have to do that in KNIME also or can i use non numeric data type the way they are..  ?

Hi Shilpa,

no the KNIME Analytics Plattform can handle numeric values as they are.

Howerver if you want to make predictions, there are predictors which expect categorical values. For those you would need a tranformation.
