How to add password input type for knime nodes

I am trying out Pure Python Extensions: Defining the node’s configuration dialog. In my python node I want to take as input a password from the user I want my password to be replaced by * symbol when entered by user, How do I do this?

thanks for the suggestion! This is currently not possible, but we created tickets for that and will come back to you once it is implemented.
