Hugging Face Hub Authenticator

Hi, I have a “Credential Configuration” node where I entered the Hugging Face token in the password field and connected this node to an “HF Hub Authenticator.” After running the first node, I expect the Hugging Face API Key box to be filled or filled with that token, but that’s not the case. What am I doing wrong? Does the token have to have specific characteristics? I’d also like to ask: is Hugging Face a valid choice as a free LLM provider for you, or do you recommend alternatives?

Well, you still need to select the “credentials” variable that you created in Credentials Configuration in the drop down of HF Hub Authenticator:

If you click on the down-arrow in the panel on the right, you should be able to select “credentials” and then apply/execute.

Right now you are not telling HF Hub Authenticator node, where to take the API Key from.

Hi @rfeigel - Something is strange here. I ran into the same problem you did. For the reference of others, it’s this workflow: Initially, I’m not able to make any changes to the configuration of the HF Hub LLM Selector node - everything’s greyed out. If I click on “Show advanced settings” , a Model type toggle appears - if I make changes to this, I can at least execute the node, but then I run into a separate issue with the prompter downstream. Let me check with the AI folks on our side.
