My understanding is that PBIR is JSON format designed to store report metadata. It would be very useful for me because I am frequently dealing with documenting PowerBI Report (sources, tables, columns, etc.) and could also potentially be used for optimisation purposes. I have seen other GUI´s (PowerBI helper, or Measure killer) that do similar things but I would rather do it myself with KNIME. Any recomendations would be highly appreciated.

Have you tried using the ‘JSON Reader’ node on the PBIR file? Though you may need to convert it to a .json; If it is in JSON format, this should be able to be read in via the JSON reader node.

Sorry, got stuck with other tasks. I will get back to this at some point because I believe there is great potential here for an open source tool like KNIME
