Issue with Excessive Empty Space in KNIME Workflow

Hi all,

I am experiencing an issue with my KNIME workflow where the workspace has become excessively large, even though there are no nodes far from the main workflow area. I have tried the following solutions, but none have worked:

  • Selecting all nodes (Ctrl + A) and moving them closer
  • Saving, closing, and reopening KNIME
  • Exporting and reimporting the workflow
  • Checking the workflow.knime file for abnormal node coordinates

Despite these efforts, the workflow area remains unnecessarily large, making navigation difficult.

System Information:

  • KNIME Version: 5.2
  • Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise

Is there a way to manually reset or shrink the workspace size? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there @salvatorigio,

remember experiencing something similar couple of times on older versions. If I remember well I simply copied all nodes to newly created workflow.

I was hoping there was a generalized function to shrink the work area
